I'm back

So as you may have realised I was away for quite some time, i'm not going to make any excuses or anything but I had my head in the clouds for a bit.
I was spending summer with my boyfriend and had a fantastic time and when I came home I jumped straight back into work and starting Uni.

To be honest I haven't been that motivated when it came to blogging either and I was stuck for any ideas at all, my blog is officially 'under construction' and you might see some small or big changes in the coming months until I manage to get it looking how I want.

Bare with me though guys I will be posting regularly (fingers crossed) and be trying to build my blog again, i'm pretty active on twitter and instagram so please folllow me there and use those if you would like to contact me in any way.
What did you guys get up to in the past few months?

Pharmacy hustle

Before when I have went to Germany I did not give much thought to which cosmetics may be availiable to me there that are not in the UK. This time however I had an inkling that German pharmacies may stock many of the same products that the forever hyped french pharmacies have, given that they are neighbouring countries and all.

On my first trip to town I was proven right. Walking up to the pharmacy I seen sitting outside mini bioderma sets and other great try me kits. Inside was much of the same the walls covered in french skincare from caudalie, avene, la roche posey, phyto and vichy to name a few.

My boyfriend could not understand why I was so excited and even the staff were eyeballing me funnily. I only managed to pick up a few small bits on this first trip, as we drove to poland a few days later which is a complete other story about what I discovered there. However we are heading back to Germany tomorrow so that pharmacy and others like it had better prepare themselves!

What I managed to get was a try me kit of three bioderma minis from the hydrabio line for sensitive, dehydrated skin. It included-
20ml of the hydrabio H20 micellaire solution (the blue version of the popular pink lid solution).
15ml of the masque hydratant, a moisturising and hydration generating mask.
15ml of the creme hydratante, a light moisturiser for day/and or evening to be used after cleansing.
All of these came packaged in a cute little bioderma bag, and are great for travelling or just trying products without having to buy full sized versions.

I also picked up a 50ml can of avene's eau thermale thermalwasser. Which is a fantastic thermal water spray that can be used as a toner, to soothe irritations and has a ton of other uses. I however prefer to use it to set my make up and as a refreshing pick me up in the warm weather.

Do any of you guys have any products to recommend that you think I should try? Have you ever visited German pharmacies, what did you think?

Hope you are all well and having a great summer!

Brushing up squeaky clean

My first ever blog post was a Glossybox review, ever since then though I have come to the conclusion that readers don't care so much for reviews on beauty boxes (correct me if I am wrong) but are only really interested in any 'good stuff ' that might be in them.
I love my Glossybox sometimes I am chuffed with what I have received other times not so much. I am not one to go cray over one thing normally, but these items I am so excited about I couldn't contain my joy when I seen them.

Firstly I received a Dermalogica clean start mini set, I love their products and I love skincare so this fed both obsessions, it is also perfect for me as the set is formulated for oily skin prone to the odd breakout and claims to give you a gorgeous clear complexion. I am planning on taking this away with me and testing it out then, it comes with a foaming wash, toning spray and mattifying moisturiser plus the bottles are just so cute!
The other thing I wanted to share with you was this Glossybox brush, I don't know why i'm so happy with this. Maybe because they seem to have created their own line of tools? Last box I received a little mirror that hasn't left my bag since, anyway i'm not sure if I would use it for blush as intended but probably more for a contour and highlight.

This was a really random post but I just wanted to share my happiness over these two things with you, and I honestly don't mean to be a bit 'fangirl' over Glossybox but that is how it is.

Did anyone receive any other cool products in their boxes? Has anyone tried the clean start line before? What were your thoughts?

Skincare essentials

I don't have perfect skin, but who does? however my skin is quite well behaved most of the time but I do often have breakouts due to hormones, stress and all the rest of it..
These are just some of the products I use in order to keep my skin in a relatively manageable condition, all of these products are easily accessible to most people which is why I chose these specific ones. I happen to have a slight skincare obsession and do have products from the likes of Caudalie, Liz earle and Avene which are all fantastic! But I return to these time and time again when I need to take my skincare back to basics.

All of these are pretty self explanatory and you all probably know of them already, the Bioderma a product raved about on blogs and youtube is actually from Poland where bioderma have a laboratory and I think it is quite cheap there so if you or someone you know is visiting Poland ask them to keep and eye out!

The loreal exfoliating wash I use for gentle exfoliation when I need it and it hasn't broken me out (yet). The Lush cosmetic warrior mask has become one of my holygrail products it is fantastic at clearing up blemishes and adding moisture back into the skin, after using it I couldn't be without it. And the simple oil balancing moisturiser is something I have recently picked up and so far I am really enjoying it, it is a mattifying product that really hydrates the skin and certainly rivals la roche posays effaclar matt if you ask me and at a fraction of the cost.

I also included some body/tanning products as I think it is important to keep all of your skin looking good, a good basic moisturiser is key and these Nivea ones do the job fine. Garnier summerbody is a great gradual tanner when you want a nice glow especially in summer! And st. moriz dark I am just testing out at the moment but so far I think it is just as good as the st. tropez mouse and far cheaper. I only left it on for an hour or so as I am very fair and it gave me a lovely natural colour which has lasted four days now.

I hope this wasn't too tedious for you guys, what are your skincare essentials? can you recommend any new products?

ps I am going away soon and wondered if you would like a travel makeup bag post?

hope you are all well and sorry for the poor photos they were taken on my iphone in horrid lighting.

ding a ling

Hello this is quite a spontaneous little post about nothing really bog related, however I was bought some foundations recently by my grandmother and they happen to be WAY to dark for my pale complexion. I don't know what she was thinking as none of our family are deliciously golden..or from the amazon. To get to the point I popped them on eBay, then realized I could have done a blog sale duh!

Anyway here is the link to my eBay in case any of you are interested, the foundations have only been swatched once, I often put clothes and stuff on there that have hardly/never been worn also.

My (boring) month in pictures?

Since I have neglected you guys I thought I would show you a small collection of photos on things I have been doing just to give you an insight. I haven't got up to much because of exams and as you can probably tell small things have amused me, but hey ho!

Dream car/ watch shopping/ brownie ice cream

Doughnut shoes! / Birthday fashion show / Bugs

Cloud blocking sunbathing / New favorite sweets / Glossybox

Lilac shorts/ Nails inc polish / Gorgeous studded boots.

sigh of relief

Wow guys it has been sooo long since I last blogged waa bad Kerry!
I have had exams though and have been crazily busy: frantically studying, praying to gods I don't believe in and sticking notes to my walls like a madwoman!
BUT lets all breathe out in unison, exams are now over!..Well for most of us anyway and for those that are still sitting them don't fret solace is coming you way.

I have a post lined up that should give you an insight into what I have been up to in the little spare time I have had, It will follow this one either tonight or tomorrow morning so keep an eye out.

Recent eBay purchases

Sorry there hasn't been a post in a while guys, I have been studying a lot! Boo.
Anyway I thought I would show you all recent things I have bought on eBay (during study breaks of course..)

Black leather look panel leggings from TOPSHOP-
I'm not one to buy clothes from eBay as I'm suspicious of photos, and don't trust the stated conditions, however the person selling these I knew was trustworthy so I thought I would dip my toes into the world of eBay clothes buying. I had seen these a long time ago in toppers and had wanted them as they are slightly different from the usual "leather" leggings out there as they have panels of normal material at the sides. So when I seen these I figured I may as well grasp the opportunity to get them and purchased them for a mere £8!

EOS lipbalm, lemon drop SPF 15-
I had seen a lot of good reviews of these lipbalms on YouTube and didn't have a clue where to get them in the uk so I hit up eBay. I thought it was wise to get the SPF version as it's coming into summer, and I am very impressed with the quality of these. The smell is amazing and they taste nice too while being really moisturising on the lips. If any of you would like me to send you the seller let me know bellow.

Cassette iPhone cover-
I was just looking for a plain and simple cover for my phone as my other one cracked and found this for £1.25 and thought it was quite cool. It does it's job and protects my phone, I have had some comments on it already mainly by confused men demanding to know "what have you got in there?!" and startling me!

Tan and black leather bag-
This has to be my star buy, I was looking for a simple small bag that would fit in just my essentials when I didn't need to carry a lot around. I came across a vintage seller on eBay who had a few lovely bags and watched this one, someone had bid quite a lot on this bag so I gave up. But at the last minute I checked back and seen they had retracted their bid so bid quickly and won this little beauty for only £1! Amazing I know. It is a lovely little real leather bag with three compartments inside and extremely handy for just throwing on due to it's colour as it goes with everything!

So that's it guys if any of you have any requests be sure to ask, also it's my birthday tomorrow yay! And I am going to an event so I will be sure to update you on that. Hope you are all keeping well.

Where have I been?

I know I have been lacking on the blog post front and I'm really sorry for that guys, but my Internet box thing has been broken and our new one doesn't arrive until monday poo. However at the same time I have been really busy with work and studying for my exams that are starting in may eeek!

I'm really going to try to keep you all updated but please try to be patient with me as it's a busy and important time for me at the moment as it is for many of you bloggers.

On a happier note it's my birthday in less than two weeks (first of may) yay! and on the night I and a friend are going to a Scottish fashion event so I will be sure to fill you guys in on that. I am also trying to save money so I'm putting a plug on my spending just now -with the exclusion of my birthday- as in the summer I am planning on spending two and a half months abroad with my boyfriend.

Anyway sorry for this boring post but I wanted to update you on my whereabouts, I promise to keep you all informed about my upcoming shenanigans! Hope you are all keeping well.

Ps I would like to say hello to my new doughnuts you are all very much appreciated!

Foundation facade

My skin has been awful recently and I have been breaking out all over the place, it has been a disaster!
Recently I just started a second job waitressing on weekend evenings and I needed a pair of formal black trousers bleugh..

Anyway while I was in town I decided I would get a few foundation samples of heavier foundation to tide me over until my skin calms down. I popped into Nars and the Nars lady had evaporated or something so I stood dumbly looking around until a kind bare essentials lady came and helped me out with a sample, in the end I left with Nars sheer glow in deauville.

Then I slinked away over to Estee Lauder and met the most pleasant woman ever who helped me and a friend chose foundation and then she gave us a sample of our chosen shade mine was double wear shade 1, she also booked us in for a skincare consultation in two weeks to give us a pamper session!

And just before I hopped on the bus home I went into a salon services store to have a look at the new O.P.I collection and came across this lovely little gem in austin-tatious turquoise reduced to £4.50 yay!

Anyway I will let you know what I think of the foundations and maybe do a little review on them! Hope you are all well.

Ways of having more dollars than Benjamin Franklin..

Being a clothes and make up minded student like many of you other bloggers its sometimes difficult to manage money efficiently. My problem is that I am awful at saving and when I get paid my money leaves my bank account just as quickly as it entered. So here are some of the things I do to have more dollah for the important things in life:

1. Get a part time or weekend job- whip up a CV or resume if you are from the u.s and hand it around your local area or nearest town. I know this is a pretty obvious one but even if you are still at school a few hours at the weekend will make a difference. If you are a little older try department stores most likely there will be a section looking to employ. I myself now have two jobs one at day time and one at night on the weekend, I DO NOT recommend that I have never been more tired in my life!

2. Have a look at what you have (a proper look)- Instead of gravitating towards Topshop every time you need an outfit, have a proper look in your wardrobe you will be surprised at what you may find. I feel like I have often forgotten about things I have in the past, simply because I have gotten so much new stuff that the other items get pushed aside.

3. Get creative- If you find an old tshirt or have a pair of old jeans lying around, get the scissors out and chop it up! Cut the neckline off tshirts and cut the arms off to turn it into a vintage looking vest if its a little messy then great that's the look your going for. As for jeans and trousers they are easily turned into shorts mark off where you want them to fall and then chop off the leg and roll up the hem or pull some threads to make it more worn. Another great way to update what you have is to get some studs and stud the shoulders or pockets of your denim/leather jackets or jeans and shorts. You can get studs really cheaply on eBay, I have a few items to stud so I will hopefully do a post on that soon.

4.Have a rummage in your parents wardrobes- Its amazing what you may find in there, personally my parents wardrobes are like Narnia! Full of hidden treasures and items of clothing from their past that they desperately want to hide but cannot bear to let go of. I have thrifted Levi jeans from my dad that I'm going to turn into shorts and have found a few nifty acid wash tshirts and crop tops in my mums wardrobe! another thing dads are great for is cosy jumpers in winter time their wardrobes are bursting with them..well mines is anyway.

5.eBay- Tons of people are now selling their unwanted things on eBay and it is a fantastic way of making a few extra pounds. Have a look through your things and anything you don't use anymore or don't want instead of throwing it away pop it on eBay, because you know what they say "one mans rubbish is another mans treasure". Setting up a paypal account is mega easy and the best way to handle money on sites like eBay. Also if you are new to the whole process there is an iphone app that is super easy to use and is great to put things on for sale with. Be warned though eBay can be addictive!

I hope some of this helped. Any of you guys have any good money saving/making tips?

Easter Haul

This is really just a little collective haul of the things I have picked up over the past week or so, Some however are gifts from my gorgeous boyfriend!

diesel loverdose eau de parfam 30ml £25
I had my eye on this for a while and while dragging my boyfriend around town with me, decided to go into Debenhams and have a smell. Debenhams had a fantastic 10% off offer on all fragrance and beauty products so I got this perfume cheaper and the kind lady gave me a free 200ml loverdose body lotion!

vintage levi's jacket
I have finally managed to get my hands on one of these! sadly I live no where near london so tracking one of these lovelies down has proved a challenge as I wasn't willing to pay £50+ on ebay. But luckily for me I entered a local vintage store near me and seen this hanging there just waiting for me, after trying it on I left it at the counter and went to browse the men's section with my boyfriend. He happened to buy the jacket for me! That day we also purchased a gorgeous vintage Burberry jacket for my boyfriend but he has taken it home so I cant show you guys :(

body shop chocolate lip butter
Come to think of it my boyfriend has done a lot of sneaky buying, while I was in the body shop expressing my feelings about them no longer selling coconut body spray to a girl who worked there. My boyfriend bought this for me, then made a few remarks about my chocaholism..

Garnier summer body, £4.99
I happen to be extremely pale and when it come to this time of year I need a little helping hand when it comes to getting my legs out! I have heard loads about this gradual tan on youtube and blogs so thought I would give it a bash, morrisons is doing this for half price at the moment so you can grab a deal there!

sunglasses £4.99 H&M
I admit that I have a thing for nice sunglasses and I am normally more of a raybans girl, but all of my sunglasses tend to be black or very bright colours. So when I seen these lovely brown ones in H&M I snapped them up, they have a lovely classic shape that is flattering on my face and are great quality for their bargain price!

collection 2000 pressed powder, translucent £1.99
I have ran out of my MAC careblend powder so I picked up this one as it was so cheap until I am near a mac store and can repurchase my usual powder.

Rose gold cuff, H&M £3.99
When I was in H&M recently seen this and had to get it, I love rose gold and I love cuffs so this is a dream accessory and it goes with everything!

Silver ring engraved with ruins, gift.
My Grandad picked this up on his travels many years ago and had worn it ever since, but recently his fingers have suffered from swelling and he gave this ring to me. I had always been intrigued by the design of this ring so was really happy when I was given it last week and It is sure to be a solid piece of my collection, it is however a little on the small side so I will be wearing it as an above the knuckle ring.
(please ignore my chipped nails and chubby fingers)

classic converse, gift.
These were a major thoughtful gift from my boyfriend, when we first met two years ago I really wanted a pair of converse this colour and didn't get them, then when I went to get them I couldn't find them anywhere. So when he gave me a wrapped present when we got back from the airport I didn't for one second think it would be these. He got them in Germany so I'm not sure of the cost and you can most likely get them here.
The colour is perfect for spring/summer and they will look great with sun dresses and denim shorts when the nicer weather comes!

Any of you guys make great purchases or get any lovely gifts this week? Hope you all had a fantastic Easter weekend!

Lush face you have there

In my last post I told you all about the lovely girl in lush giving me a sample of the 'Brazen honey' face mask. I also told you I would tell you how it was, that was quite a while ago..so lets get to it:

The face mask is said to brighten cleanse and exfoliate the skin, also while making up for any mishaps you may have made with diet and fluid intake. Although I cannot comment on the diet side of things I can tell you that after use my skin felt squeaky clean and soft. Amazingly it really did brighten my skin (however I wasn't glowing on sun like proportions) and my skin tone was far more even and smooth. The girl recommended that I left the face mask on for 10mins before washing off but as my skin is sensitive and it stung a little I only left it on for 5mins. I have used the mask around four times now and each time my skin has looked really great afterwards.

I do have to say though that the effects of the mask seem to be short lived and the morning after use my skin is back to its usual self. I have experienced a bit of bad skin recently but I cannot say if the mask has been a cause of this, somehow I don't think so I think maybe my sweet tooth is a major factor! All in all it is a good product and would be great to perk up skin before a night out or event, But if you have extremely sensitive skin maybe go for something more mild.

Update- I know I have been absent recently, that is due to my boyfriend visiting from Germany and me wanting to spend as much time as possible with him. I did however schedule some posts for when I was gone but I don't think I done it properly as they evidently never went up, oops. I apologize for this and will make sure the posts go up in the next few days. Also I want to say hello to my new followers and thank you, you are very much appreciated!

Brazen like a bee.

The weather may be beautiful in the uk at the moment but to a Scottish girl like me the lasting sunshine came as a bit of a surprise. It also may have caused me to be on the verge of a mental breakdown this morning as I struggled to find something to wear that wasn't black and was weather appropriate, but that is another matter..

After class I had errands to run and while I was at it had a look in some of the shops in town, I purchased a pretty sundress from hm and tried on some grey acid wash jeans that were yet again unflattering on my bod. So the quest for jeans continues!

On my way home though whilst wallowing in my jeanless pity I stopped at lush because they were apparently giving arm scrubs to customers. While I didn't get a scrub the lovely girl there gave me a really generous sample pot of their 'brazen honey' face mask. I have heard lots of good things about this mask and it is said to brighten skin , but as my skin is really sensitive to certain things I thought it would be best to try before I buy. I will let you all know how I get on and if my skin goes haywire in anyway.

Hope you are all enjoying the glorious weather, keep well.

Mini haul and update..

Sorry I have been slightly MIA for the past week, I have been busy finishing off exams and coursework for classes..poo. But luckily I have a holiday coming up and 3weeks off work! So I have no excuses for slacking on the blog front now! I also thought I would share with you that I'm really excited at the moment as my boyfriend is  flying in from Germany on Tuesday. He is German and lives over there so sometimes I don't get to see him as much as I wish, however whatever time we do get together we make the most of.

Anyway getting on to what you are really interested in these are some of the things I have purchased through the past week-

Jersey high waisted A-line skirt, Topshop £16-

I picked up this skirt as I didn't have a classic black skirt that I could wear with everything and that was flattering. This one is an absolute bargain, and sits beautifully on draping nicely at the front. I would recommend this to anyone needing a lovely wear anywhere skirt that can be dressed up or down for any occasion.

Slouchy navy blue knit jumper, Topshop £20-

This I also got on my visit to topshop. I had my eye on this ages ago when it was full price, but my boyfriend told me I didn't need anymore jumpers. But when I noticed it had gone on sale I thought it would be the perfect buy for the winter/spring/summer transition period. It is a lovely soft fine knit that would be great for layering under a jacket if its a bit chilly or on its own on a nice spring day when its a little on the warm side for something bulky, but not warm enough for just a tee or vest. It is a very nice shape that falls off the shoulder slightly and has a flattering neckline for those blessed in the chest area. It also come in a white and coral colour if you prefer something brighter!

Silver small cross earrings, River island £3-
These I got from River island when I popped in to have a little look. I did have other cross earrings but misplaced them somewhere, so got these as a replacement.Great cheap everyday piece of jewellery.

Studio sculpt concealer NC15, MAC £13.50-
I was running low on concealer, so went into the MAC store to get myself a new pot. I am pretty pale and although this isn't an exact match for me it is the closest I have gotten. Studio sculpt is great for covering up any redness and the occasional blemish which I do suffer from, I would say it is a full coverage concealer but is good all year round if used with a setting powder in summer as it can slide in warmer climates.

Creme sheen lipstick in creme cup, MAC £13-

I think this was possibly one of the first mac lipsticks I ever purchased, I have re-purchased this for the third time now. For a while I was 'off ' this lipstick as I was finding it a bit thick and cakey, but then last week I thought I would wear it then realized I was all out. Even though it is no longer one of my favorites I do like to have this in my collection for days when I want a soft pretty nude shade, as this is perfect.

Cream puff fairy cake 3, collection 2000 £2.99-
Now I have been after the nyx version of these lip creams for ages, but they are really hard to get here in the uk, so when I seen this collection 2000 alternative I had to try it out! These smell delicious like vanilla cake and leave a really nice matt finish that isn't too drying on the lip and at such a cheap price I highly recommend trying them out.

Heart of gold nail polish, Topshop £6-
This is just a gorgeous gold sparkly nail colour that is great if your are wearing a plain outfit and want to add something extra but subtle, fantastic quality for money.

Like I mentioned in my last post I did order some things from river island online, I ordered their 'lana' high waisted jeans and sadly had to return them. They were a dreadful cut and really unflattering on my figure as the are cut totally straight up and down and I happen to a have a bum, the denim also looked extremely cheap and poorly made so I would not recommend them. I also ordered a little pair of ankle socks with a scottie dog print on them, they are in the wash so I couldn't photograph them for you.

Can any of you guys suggest a good place to get a flattering pair of high waisted jeans?
I promise to keep you updated on my wanderings this time!

Celebration of thy mother.

As it is mothers day today, I hope you all treated your mummy nicely and for any mothers that may be reading I hope you were celebrated accordingly. I myself got my mum all the twilight DVDs (she wanted them! it has nothing to do with my love of Mr Pattinson) chocolates, a vase and a little teddy bear. I also made her breakfast and dinner so I think that should suffice.

This weekend has been a quiet one and I didn't do anything apart from study and work which is a bit of a bore, however like I mentioned in my last post I did go for a shop on Friday afternoon and to be frank it was really disappointing! I couldnt find a thing that I thought "ohh" about, there was nothing spectacular or really eye catching on offer just the same old stuff really. I did purchase a few staple pieces though and seen a few things I might think about getting in the coming weeks...I ordered a few little things online too so I will wait on them arriving before I show and tell!

Hopefully you guys had a more eventful/ successful weekend than me, what did you get up-to?

Early morning survival.

I know this does not have much relevance to my blog. But as I am getting into the swing if all this blogging stuff I just thought I would update y'all (that's the lovely readers).
I'm the kind of girl who needs my sleep and if not I become a total grump, that said I don't often get my desired amount of zzz's so this is how I combat my early morning bad moods and manage to function:

I don't eat in the morning unless it's a weekend and I have the chance to wake up a bit later but during the week I cannot survive without a coffee. If I am in town and near a Starbucks my drink of choice is a hazelnut mocha.
My favourite coffee of the moment though happens to be my newly discovered White chocolate mocha! I get these lovelies from a chain of coffee shops in my local area, but if any of you guys can get your hands on one where you are definitely try it out! They are bliss especially if you have a sweet tooth like me!

I am going shopping on Friday so there might be a mini haul coming your way.
Do any of you have something you need to have in the morning to survive?

Chokers and bristles!

Yesterday was my first exam and fingers crossed I think it went as well as it could have. Because I had no more classes afterward I went into town to grab a coffee. I had to return a skirt to river island that was dreadfully unflattering, and I couldn't see anything worth exchanging it for so I had a look at their jewellery and wow I was pleasantly surprised!
I have never really been that big a fan of river island except for the odd few bits, but they have really pulled it out of the bag with their new jewellery collection. The prices are lower and the pieces far nicer!

When I got home I had another surprise my Harrods glossybox had arrived, which I had totally forgotten about as things have been a bit hectic with exams recently. This box is amazing and really put a smile on my face all of the products are right up my street and really usable. I might do a review on some of them once I have tried them out more.

I know in the picture there is something I didn't mention before but I thought I would leave this best till last! Yes I finally went and got the Real Techniques stippling brush and yes it is amazing! I have been eyeing this up for ages and so far it lives up to its hype, the bristles are really dense and super soft, I have used it with my face and body and it gives a flawless finish. I don't think I have used it enough to give my full opinion but so far its great!

choker necklace- river island £7
Drop peace sign earrings- river island £2
Small gold knot earrings- river island £2

If any of you have exams just now then I wish you the best of luck!
What do you think of the River island jewellery overhaul?
tell me your thoughts and if you would like me to do a post on anything please let me know as I am new to blogging.

Cocktail bling..

Yesterday I was up and out bright and early for work, and once I was finished popped to the supermarket for some bits and bobs. Now there is nothing too surprising about that, but when I arrived home at two there posted through the letter box was a little package and inside that was my essie nail polish that I had bought at one o'clock that very same morning!

I purchased the nail colour on eBay and never expected it to arrive so quickly. The shade I got was cocktail bling a gorgeous grey/blue shade which is perfect for spring.
I painted my nails really quickly before leaving for dinner last night but only used two coats and the colour payoff is fantastic.

Sorry about the strange photo but that is the only one I got without the colour just looking like a flat grey.

Impromptu shopping!

So it is my Granddad's sixty fifth birthday dinner tomorrow night, and me being me forgot that I still need to get him a gift, meaning that today after class I had to make a dash into town with my friend Amy. Luckily for me I found a good Granddad gift (cotton pocket tissues) and somehow managed to pick up a few bits for myself..

front of dress                                                                                 back of dress

I got this lovely dress from Zara , in my opinion the pictures don't do it much justice. It is a really soft pink colour a classic shape that goes in at the waist then out at the hips, it also has a lovely exposed back detail that adds a bit of interest to the dress and gives its classic structure more edge. I got this in a medium but I think it comes up a little big so I would recommend trying a smaller size than your usual before you buy. It also comes in a beautiful green colour and I was torn between the two, so I might treat myself to that version later..

On my travels I ended up in the MAC store, but as I was well behaved I managed to not go crazy and spend a fortune! It was hard trust me..Anyway I picked up a fresh bottle of face and body as mine was running low. This is probably my favorite mac foundation as it is build-able and gives me a nice fresh glow. Mac have a great shade selection which is why I love their products and it has a shade to suit any skin tone. I wear shade C1 and I am pretty pale just incase you were wondering.

I am having a huge thing for scented candles at the moment, after receiving a few of the the Yankee candle jar versions at Christmas. And on my way home I passed by the Yankee candle stall so stopped to have a sniff. I decided just to get a couple of mini ones first of all to try them out before buying a jar as they burn forever, and that would be awful if it was a stinky scent. The ones I chose were Bahama breeze which smells of sweets and the green one is Vanilla lime, I also got a little holder thing to burn them in at the stall for really cheap £1 or something. The mini candles were really affordable at £1.75 each and burn for an amazing fifteen hours!

Let me know what you think of the layout, did you make any spontaneous purchases this week?
Hopefully I will have another post up before Monday, as that is when my exams start.

I hope you all have a fantastic weekend!

Exams and Lunch.

Sorry there hasn't been a post in a few days, but if I'm honest I kind of forgot I had a blog..(oops don't judge I only just started)
But the good news is I remembered! Anyway I haven't gotten upto much the past few days because I have exams coming up so I have been studying my bum off. But yesterday I had a lovely girly lunch with my gorgeous friend Hollie and a good chat about clothes make up and blogs!
As we are both trying to eat healthily and lose a few inches we ordered a sharer platter of humous, a chai latte for me and a juice for Hollie.

Do any of you guys have any good healthy eating and diet tips?

March- Things I would be very happy to own..

This is my march 'lust' list, it is a collection of things I have wanted for a while and pieces I have recently came across. The sad thing is I probably wont own some of them ever as my pennies are normally spent before I even get them. But a girl should always have the right to dream!

You cant go wrong with some fresh new summer denim and the jacket is a great alternative to the traditional denim jacket that pops up in warmer weather. As for the shorts everyone should have some dip dye!

This gorgeous emerald dress is something I have been looking out for for ages. It would be great just now with some leather and ankle boots and when the warmer weather comes along I could cross my fingers and hope for a glamorous occasion.
all of the above are from topshop.

Everyone seems to be loving disco pants at the moment and I am no exception. I however cannot justify paying the price for them. Maybe they will lower the price or more realistically I will find a good dupe.

Disco pants american apparel.

I have never really been much of a watch person, but recently I have become quite fond of watches I don't know if that maybe happens when you get a bit older.. In my opinion this is an investment piece and something I would have forever, so I wouldn't mind paying out that little bit extra for it.

Micheal Kors watch.

This is just gorgeous I would cut off a couple of fingers for this clutch! I love the whole oversized clutch trend and this mulberry one is just the best of the bunch! It would look fantastic with pretty much any outfit and is just beautiful, I could go on about this all day so I will stop now..

Mulberry, oversized postmans lock leather clutch.

I will most likely not have any of these items for a while which is poo, not unless I win the lottery or happen to convince someone me having them is a matter of urgency, Anyway it is probably wise for me to keep my purse zipped up!

First post! - February Glossybox!

So this was my first ever Glossybox after deciding to try them out after hearing and reading about them on youtube and blogs. I was so excited about its arrival that I practically ripped the lid off to have a look.
here is what I got-

The gorgeous packaging!
Amazing presentation of the box.

Awapuhi by Paul Mitchell , wild ginger treatment oil-
The description of this product was "Absorbs easily imparting a soft, silky texture and rich shine effect" and to be honest the smell and texture of the product was lovely. It smells of ginger as the name suggests and has a nice, not to watery texture similar to that of Morrocan oil. But once I used it on my hair I found made my hair feel quite heavy and look really greasy and unwashed. I dont think I would buy this product again as it is £25.95 for the full size product which I think is quite expensive for what it does.

Doctor Bronner , lavender hand sanitiser-
This is a simple fresh smelling and light non sticky hand sanitiser. It smells quite strongly of lavender but if you don't mind that it is a nice product to have. I have carried it in my bag to use while on public transport and in the doctors office, and it does what it is supposed to; freshens up your hands and prevents bacteria. I would recommend this product and probably purchase it again as it is a nice alternative to the standard smell free hand sanitisers and is a good price at £3.99 for the full size.

Como shambala , invigorate shower gel-
I haven't yet got around to using this product, but I had a good sniff and squeezed a blob onto my hand to feel the texture. It has a lovely menthol/ peppermint smell so I think it would be a great morning shower gel as it would perk you up! And the texture is nice and thick so I think it would form a good lather. The full size bottle of 300ml is £20.00 which I think is a little steep for a shower gel, and I think I could find a nice alternative from philosophy or the body shop.

BM beauty mineral eyeshadow in the shade, storm cloud-
I was looking forward to trying this out when I received it in the box, but once I applied it I thought it wasn't too great. The colour looks like a gorgeous greeny, olive sort of grey if that makes sense but once it is on the colour doesn't show very well and is very sheer leaving more of a glitter on the eye. I personally don't think I would repurchase this and use it on its own but I might use it in the future over other colours for a little bit of subtle sparkle.

                                                     BECCA beach tint, watermelon-
Now this I absolutely love! I was so excited to try this out as I know becca is a good make up brand and have excellent products... And it was full size! This is a lip and cheek tint in a deep pinky/ reddish colour I will do a swatch below, it has a great texture and I found it non sticky and long wearing it is very lightly scented and smells and tastes of watermelon (theres a surprise). This is a product that I will definitely use and repurchase in the future, although it is £20.00 for 7ml a little goes a long way and it is a perfect summer product as it is very light and great if you will be in the sun or in the water.

Swatch of eyeshadow in storm cloud on the left. And BECCA beach tint watermelon on the right.
(please ignore my ghostly complexion)

I hope this wasn't too dull for a first post and I apologize for any bad lighting in the photos as the light wasn't great.
